In an effort to prevent the spread of the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture and Consumer Protection (DATCP) is suspending all poultry shows, exhibitions and swap meets statewide through May 31, 2022. 

Please continue to practice strict Biosecurity Guidelines to protect your flocks.  

AVIAN INFLUENZA INFORMATION

As you may have heard on the news, there is a Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) strain confirmed in Wisconsin’s wild bird populations and some domestic commercial operations. In mid March, the Department of Agriculture, Trade & Consumer Protection (DATCP) first announced the presence of this HPAI virus in Jefferson County.

Due to these concerns, we may have to cancel the poultry departments both in open and junior divisions. We are monitoring the situation and once a decision has been made, we will make the announcement on this page and on Facebook.
