Whittlesey Creek National Wildlife Refuge

Established in 1999, this refuge area is still being created and will ultimately encompass up to 1,260 acres. The coastal wetlands located here are home to the coaster brook trout, and the restoration of this species is a goal. However, this area is also home to wide variety of wildlife and is an important site for migratory birds.
