[ARCHIVED] Enter Items at the Fair

Did you know that any Wisconsin resident can enter items at the Bayfield County Fair? There are hundreds of categories to choose from! It’s a great opportunity to see how your work compares with others and get paid a small premium for any items that earn a ribbon from the judges. In many instances, there is no limit to the number of different categories that you can enter, so as long as you are going to exhibit your woodworking or knitting, you may as well enter your plants, cookies or jam, too!

If you are a student who is a member of an educational organization such as Scouts, 4H or FFA, you would enter in the “Junior Class” category. Anyone else can enter in “Open Class.” Either way, you get a free season pass ($30 value) with your registration, which costs only $20 if you register by June 25th. A season pass includes gate admission all four days of the Fair (Aug. 6-9, 2015) as well as grounds entertainment, entry to the grandstand events and all of the carnival rides that you can handle!

A complete list of categories and rules is available in the Premium List, which can be found at many area libraries, banks or chambers of commerce in the area. The information is also available online at www.bayfieldcounty.org/fair. For additional information, contact the Fair office at (715) 373-6125 x7.
