Being physically active for 30 minutes, at least five days a week and maintaining a healthy weight by eating more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Eat foods high in fiber Eat less red meat (beef, pork, or lamb) and cut out processed meats (bacon, hotdogs, sausage, cold cuts)Not Smoking, Drink alcohol in moderation- have no more than one drink a day for women, and no more than two drinks a day for men. Discuss screening measures with your physician. It is recommended to be screened at age 50 years of age if you are at average risk, if you are considered high risk you may need to start regular screenings earlier.
